Trent University

Trent University is a public liberal arts university with a satellite campus in Oshawa that serves the Durham Regional Municipality. Trent University is based in Peterborough, Ontario. Trent is well known for its Oxbridge College system and small class sizes. There are five colleges that make up Trent University. Each institution has its own living halls, dining hall, and student government. Over 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled at Trent University Durham GTA’s Peterborough campus, while approximately 1,900 full- and part-time students are enrolled at its Thornton Road location in Oshawa.

Applications for this renewable fellowship are open to international students who have shown a high level of academic achievement, community service, leadership potential, and financial need. Trent University can receive up to $34,000 in tuition and required ancillary fees per academic year, or up to $136,000 for a four-year degree, through the Global Citizen Scholarships and Awards.

The Trent International Program Scholarship for Tuition Levy

This scholarship is renewable and is funded by an annual fee that Trent University students pay. Tuition Levy Scholarships, which are awarded based on outstanding academic achievement, a strong record of community and/or international service, leadership, and some financial need, cover up to $34,000 in foreign tuition and associated expenses per academic year, or up to $136,000 over the course of a four-year degree.

Excellence Scholarship at the University of Auckland in New Zealand

International Scholarship of the Moore Family

The generous donations of David and Joan Moore, lifelong Trent supporters, made this new scholarship possible. It will offer a maximum reward of $48,000 and an annual stipend of $12,000 to three students from outside North America. Their outstanding academic record, leadership potential, community involvement, and financial need will all be taken into consideration when selecting the beneficiaries. This stipend is renewable up to $48,000 for a four-year degree.

International Scholarships for Justin Chiu

This scholarship was created by Justin Chiu, an international student who benefited from his stay at Trent. awarded to incoming Asian international students who demonstrate high academic achievement, leadership potential, and a minimal level of financial need.

The Maple Leaf Leadership Award

given to a foreign student attending Trent University who demonstrates extraordinary academic achievement, leadership potential, community service, and financial need. The student must be enrolled in a Maple Leaf Education System school. Up to five students each year are eligible to win the $2,000 award once.

Scholarships at Trent-United World Colleges (UWC)

awarded to an international student from a UWC college who is transferring to Trent University and demonstrates financial need, outstanding academic achievement, a strong dedication to community service, and the capacity to assume leadership responsibilities. The value of the scholarship is determined once financial need has been assessed. For each academic year, it can cover up to $34,000 in overseas tuition and other costs, and for a four-year degree, it can cover up to $136,000. four-year degree, it can cover up to $136,000.

  • You must be paying international tuition as a foreign student.
  • You will be studying in Canada after obtaining a study permit.
  • You must have submitted an application for the summer or fall 2024 undergraduate programs at Trent University. Postgraduate diplomas and students pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees are not eligible.
  • For Trent University to admit you, you must meet all prerequisites, including the general and degree-specific requirements as well as the English language competency requirements. (Note that an acceptance offer is not necessary for applicants for scholarships and awards.)
  • Your ultimate high school average was at least 85% (Canadian Equivalent).

  • To find out if you are eligible for the coveted scholarships and awards, please fill out the application on the myTrent site. The Trent International Scholarships and Awards 2024 Application Form is found under the Finances page > International.
  • To activate your myTrent gateway, click this link if you haven’t already. (Note: You must apply for Trent admission before you can access your myTrent site. After submitting your application, you will receive your seven-digit Trent student ID number in five business days.)
  • For login information and other details about the myTrent portal, please get in touch with the agent you used to apply to Trent. An agent cannot keep this information from you.
