Eligibility Criteria
You have to be one of the following in order to be eligible for the Lester B Pearson International Scholarships:
- a non-Canadian international student in your senior year of high school or no sooner than June 2025 following graduation who requires a study permit.
- beginning your studies in September 2026 at the University of Toronto (already enrolled post-secondary students are not eligible); students who start their studies in January 2026 at another post-secondary institution are not eligible.

Application Procedure
- Make sure to submit your admissions application by the required deadlines and apply to the University of Toronto (external link) so that you can begin your studies there in September 2024. Please be advised that your initial choice of U of T program will be considered for the Pearson Scholarship. If you were awarded the Pearson Scholarship, it would only be for your top program choice at U of T at the time our scholarship selections are made. You can apply to a lot of programs and get accepted into all of them.
- Once we have received a nomination and you have applied to the school of your choice, you can apply online for the Lester B Pearson International Scholarships. You will receive a private link to the application as soon as your school has officially nominated you for the award.
